If you are working at home or in the office at your computer, you will need a microphone and a program to record audio (see software). We recommend using a USB microphone, for best audio quality.

You can use a headset mic combo unit that has USB cable as well. Whereas they are cheaper, the sound tends to be thinner. The advantage is that the mic is always equidistant from a person's mouth so there is not a big swing in terms of recorded volume.
