To record the audio, using one of the mentioned microphones, or to edit a pre-recorded session, we recommend that you use the free software, Audacity. Audacity is available from the following web site: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ and is available not only for the PC but for the Mac and Linux/Unix as well.

Follow the instructions for downloading the software and also make sure you download the zipped file for the Lame MP3 encoder. This will allow you to make MP3 files of your audio pieces later on.
